Updated: Dec 1, 2019

I am excited to be publishing my first crochet pattern! This one has been lingering in my pattern book for a while now and I have finally brought myself to actually publish. I hope you enjoy this tiny sea creature as much as I do. You can download the PDF photo tutorial here. And if you would rather purchase a finished version, you can get one here!

Materials

*I used a smaller hook than recommended for the yarn. This keeps the stitches tight to avoid gaps which allow stuffing to show through the stitches.*

Stitches/Abbreviations

CH - Chain

ST(s) - Stitch(es)

SC - Single Crochet

SL ST - Slip stitch

INC - Increase (Two single crochet in one stitch)

Magic Ring - Chain 2, Single crochet 7 stitches into 2nd chain from hook, and slip stitch into first single crochet to close

Tentacles *Make 8*

Chain 25. Starting at the 2nd ch from the hook, 2sc in each st.

**Optional**

Make one Chain of 35. Starting at the 2nd ch from the hook, 2sc in each st. Use this as the center tentacle.

Assembly

Attach tentacles to part 2 of the body as desired. If using the additional longer tentacle, this one should be placed in the center.

Use your crochet hook to pull both tails through the work and tie together to secure. Be sure to use triple knots and/or square knots.

Stuff the body and use the tail from part 1 of the body to assemble.

Use stitch markers to hold the pieces together if needed.

Tie off and tuck ends by threading both tails and sewing into the body and out the opposite side. Pull tight and trim end to FO.

Aaaaaand...Ta Da!!!

Now you have your very own Juniper the Jellyfish!
